Let AI agents book your rooms
2 min read
Guests have started planning trips by asking an AI assistant instead of opening ten browser tabs. When one of those assistants goes looking for a place to stay, your Stayblox storefront can answer.
Two protocols, already live
Every Stayblox storefront speaks UCP, the protocol from Google, and ACP, the protocol from OpenAI and Stripe. This works today, on every plan, with nothing to install. An assistant like ChatGPT can discover your rooms, read your live availability and prices, and complete a booking directly. That booking lands in your calendar like any other direct booking and you pay 0% commission on it.
Google's own UCP for Lodging connection is coming as Google opens the protocol up, so the reach of this channel will keep growing.
What you need to do
Very little, and that is the point. There is no feed to build and no integration to configure. What the assistants read is your live data, so the real preparation is the housekeeping you should be doing anyway. Check the nightly rate on every unit and every season you have configured, then check your minimum stay rules. Keep the calendar current. An AI agent booking against a stale calendar causes the same headache as an OTA doing it.
You stay in control
If you would rather not take bookings this way, there is an AI agent access toggle in the booking settings. Switch it off and agents can no longer book. Switch it back on whenever you change your mind.
Why leave it on
A booking from an AI assistant is a direct booking. The guest is yours, the details sit in your own system and no platform takes a cut. Assistants answer more travel questions every month, and being bookable there costs you nothing. New channels rarely arrive this cheap.
