Occupancy rate
Occupancy rate measures how full your property is over a given period. It's the number of booked nights divided by the number of available nights, expressed as a percentage — ten booked nights out of a possible twenty is 50% occupancy.
Occupancy is one of the headline numbers managers watch, but on its own it tells only half the story: high occupancy at low rates can earn less than lower occupancy at strong rates. It's most useful read alongside your average daily rate and RevPAR.
