House rules
House rules are the conditions of staying in your property: quiet hours, smoking, pets, parties, extra visitors, check-out expectations and anything else that matters in your building or neighbourhood. Guests accept them when they book, which makes them part of the agreement rather than a polite suggestion.
Good house rules are short, specific and visible before booking, then repeated where they count, in the arrival message and in the property itself. They are also your evidence if something goes wrong, since OTA damage claims and deposit deductions are far easier to win when the broken rule was stated in writing.
